The opening match of IPL 2023 will be played on March 31, 2023 between Gujarat Titans and Chennai super kings (CSK) in Ahmedabad.

Round Robin Format with Group System and Playoffs

In IPL 2023, 10 teams are participating in the tournament. Total 74 matches will be played.

Each team will have to play 14 matches after which the top-ranked teams in the points table will advance to the next round.
