Asia Cup 2023 schedule released | india pak match in kandy on 2 september
Asian Cricket Council President Jai Shah has released the schedule of Asia Cup 2023 to be held from next month.
According to this schedule, the opening match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan on August 30.
The Indian team will start the Asia Cup 2023 on September 2 against Pakistan in Kandy, Sri Lanka.
The final match of this tournament will be played in Colombo on 17th September.

Super 4 team position determination –
The win or loss of the league round match will not have any effect on the Super 4 teams position. Because –
- Pakistan A1 and India A2 team will be considered in Super 4.
- If one of the teams from India and Pakistan does not qualify for the Super 4 round, then the team from Nepal will take its place.
- Sri Lanka will be called B1 and Bangladesh B2 team.
- If any one team from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh does not qualify for the Super 4 round, then the Afghanistan team will take its place.
6 Teams will Participate on Hybrid model
Asia Cup 2023 will be organized on hybrid model. Four matches of this tournament will be held in Pakistan, while 9 matches including the final will be played in Sri Lanka.
Total 6 teams are participating in this competition. Which are divided into 2 groups.
- Group – A : India, Nepal and Pakistan.
- Group – B : Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
All matches will be day-night –
All the matches of Asia Cup 2023 will be day-night. The matches to be held in Pakistan will start at 1:00 pm (1:30 pm Indian time).
All the matches to be held in Sri Lanka will be played from 1:30 pm. The timing of India and Sri Lanka is the same.
