The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced Team India for the Asia Cup 2023. Team India will be captained by Rohit Sharma, while Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of the team.
Wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul, batsman Shreyas Iyer, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and Prasiddh Krishna have returned to the team. Spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal has not got a place in the team.

Ishaan Kishan has been included in the team as a wicketkeeper. Apart from this, wicketkeeping can be done with KL Rahul. Sanju Samson has been selected as the backup wicketkeeper. KL Rahul played the last ODI for India on 22 March this year.

Indian bowling attack in Asia Cup:
Jasprit Bumrah will lead the fast bowling attack. He will also be accompanied by Mohammed Shami, P Krishna and Mohammed Siraj.
Bumrah played his last ODI on 14 July 2022 against England. In this way, he will be seen playing ODI cricket after 13 months.
Mohammed Shami played his last international match against Australia in the World Test Championship.
Akshar Patel and Shardul Thakur have been selected along with Ravindra Jadeja as all-rounders. Whereas Kuldeep Yadav has been selected as spinners.
Team India’s training camp for the Asia Cup will start from 23 August. In which all the players of the team will be present along with head coach Rahul Dravid.
